HOLIDAY CRAFT BAZAAR

So very sorry I have been out of touch for the past few days! I have been preparing for the 5th Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar. It will be held this weekend in Avondale, Alabama and it's even bigger and better than last year! I will be teaming up with Mia Abrams of Sprig to create a joint booth full of lovely goodies from our individual lines, Korora and Sprig, and our new collection of home textiles - Flourish. We hope to see all of your pretty little faces there, so come out and support the local artists and get a little Christmas shopping done!

GLAM NOUVEAU

My current stylist crush is the talented Lauren Austin Wood. These photos are from a shoot she styled for NAAG.com entitled Glam Nouveau. They are simply breathtaking.

LOCALS: BRANNON'S

I had the pleasure of dining at a new hot spot yesterday with the lovely Shannon Harris. Brannon's: A Public House is a quaint little restaurant tucked away downtown on 3rd Avenue North. Owner and chef, James Hardin, is living out his grandfather's dream. "Some of Granddaddy's livelier tales revolved around public houses. Not bars. Not pubs. These were cozy places where family, friends and neighbors gathered to share the goodness of food and company. Blessed with American optimism, he often spoke of the day that he'd open his very own public house in Alabama, alive with Irish gregariousness and Southern graciousness. A place where all would be welcome." Hardin explains.

The experience was just as he describes - an inviting atmosphere and cozy cuisines.  After much deliberation, I landed on the Shep's Pie with a side of Creamy Pea Soup. I was so stuffed that I couldn't bring myself to get dessert but next time I go, the Chocolate Guinness Cupcake is at the top of my list!

A LITTLE COUNTRY WEDDING

Korora made it's very first wedding debut at the sweet ceremony of Ann and Mike Cole. The bridesmaids' ensembles were in need of a little extra pop of color and what better way to achieve that than a sweet homemade flower?

ELIZABETH & JAMES

How could a clothing line by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen not be wonderful? These are a few of my favorite looks from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection of Elizabeth and James. All of the ensembles are so effortlessly stylish with the neutral earthtones and soft textures. Go check out the rest of the collection!

LOCALS: SPRIG

Over the past few months, I have been collaborating with the lovely Mia Abrams of Sprig on a new collection of home textiles called Flourish. Mia and I have had numerous conversations over the years about trying to work together in one way or another, but it wasn't until a few months ago that we finally acted on it. I found out about an art installation that the Moss Rock Festival was hosting called ETC.Spaces. The challenge was to create a series of boulder-esque structures and then envelope them in a skin of natural materials - basically creating a space outdoors. I've always admired Mia's sense of style and her knack for home styling, so I had no doubt this would be a great project for us to take on together.

Our original concept for the installation started off so small and eventually bloomed into what is now Flourish. The short time we've spent together has already been extremely encouraging and inspirational. Mia sure is one talented lady. She has a natural gift for creating classy, inviting spaces on a budget. Her website, Sprig, features creative do-it-yourself projects for the home. Go check it out and see what crafty things you can do to revamp your house!

LOVELY LAYERING

Yet another reason I adore fall - layering. Creative director Jenna Lyons has me head-over-heels for J.Crew's lovely looks for this season. The earthy palette with pops of burnt red and mustard yellow and fabulous use of contrasting textures makes my heart skip a beat.
