So we had a pretty long day today, Birmingham to Oklahoma City. 12 hours...foof. We made a few stops along the way to see the sights but arrived in plenty of time to grab a yummy beer at a cool pub downtown.
First stop, Elvis' birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi. That teeny white house is it.
A little lunch in Memphis at Tops Bar-B-Q. Delicious.
Second stop, the "little rock" in Little Rock, Arkansas. Yes, folks. That's it.
This bridge was built on the "little rock". I was kind of obsessed with it.
More of the bridge.
Oh, and then there was a Popeye statue in Alma, Arkansas about 8 miles from the border.
Pretty sunset.
TapWerks pub in downtown Oklahoma City. They have 212 beers on tap! We tried some local brews, of course. They were very yummy and the folks here were so sweet. A fun fact about TapWerks, it's the oldest building in the city. It used to be a speakeasy and at one time an orphanage. The bartender told us some fun ghost stories about the old place. Definitely worth the stop if you're ever in the area.
Stay posted for more pics and sights along the way!
